MU100 and later have two sets of samples. On MU1000, go to Settings Menu and change "MU100 Native" to "MU Basic" to use the old MU80 set.
My unit is set to MU Basic mode. Nonetheless, that don't answer to my question. The thing that i really want to know, is, if in MU80 and MU90, that effect used on Gunshot preset sounds like in MU50 or in MU1000.
The reason why i ask this question, is because the MU50 is part of the MU80 lineup, MU50 is the low range model and MU90 is the update of the high range model (MU80), while MU1000 is part of the MU100 lineup. As MU50 is part of the MU80 lineup, that makes me think that effect used in that midi file sounds like in MU50 on MU80/90.
If is the opposite (i mean, still sounds like in MU1000 in MU80/90), so, is something peculiar thing of the high range models. That means, that the XG midi files made on S-YXG50 only plays correctly on a MU50 as well as in a DB50XG and DB60XG (most of XG midi files since 1997 were made in S-YXG50).
And i'm not speaking about the waves used in the presets, i know that MU50 and MU80 uses different waves in some presets (To name a few; Calliope Lead, Bottle, Mod Alem, Voice Lead, Choir Pad, and the Room kick...), but i'm speaking about the effects. Did you listen the audio files?
Thanks anyway...
