Anyone know what these fan headers are? More importantly where to get the male connectors that go into them. Want to use some Noctua 40mm fans on some old GPUs (like pre GeForce 5). They are mostly 40-50mm 12V fans so power wise will be fine. But the connectors are the trouble!

if u still have the original fan u can clip off the connector. noctua 40mm fan comes with connectors they call OmniJoin adapter for splicing 2 wires together without soldering. so u can just splice the original fan connector on to the noctua fan and plug it directly in.

if u don't have the original connector i think your only option would be to just solder the wires directly on to the pins.

That, or the other way around. Remove the socket and solder a new one (or just a pins header)

Wow, thank you so much!! I guess I have some options to think about..

1. Re-solder a new header on board, although probably will be space limited and might not fit a bigger modern standard.
2. Cut the old wire and the noctua wire and use the connector they include (didn't know that's what some of the included parts were for but thanks for that info!!).
3. Buy a new connector to fit the existing header on the PCB and wire it onto the Noctua.

Decisions Decisions now 😀

That is the one Digikey. TE Connectivity also makes these CT series connectors. Found on Farnell.
