What would dos performaace of S3 P86C928 chip be like?

I know S3 P86C928 chip is meant mostly for windows GUI stuff, but how well it would a vlb card with that chip do in dos?
Would it be better to use an ISA card in dos like one with normal TSENG ET4000AX chip compared to that one?

From what I recall the ET4000 was considered one of the best chips for DOS performance. So I would be surprised if the S3 topped it. But that is my hazy memory from about 30 years ago.
