This might be a dumb question (a REALLY dumb question, actually,) but is it possible to connect to the internet on a copy of windows 3.11 running on dosbox? I don't have a modem connection, so it would have to go through my ethernet, and I don't even know if win 3.11 can do that in the first place.

I've been obsessed recently with building a sort of computer within a computer. I've got sound and video running great in windows so far, so all that's really left is internet. Yes, I know that even if I get it running, I probably won't be able to view any pages at all with ie 3, but it's the principal of thing, dammit 😁

If you have windows for workgroup 3.11 you can install TCP/IP for wfw

Windows 3.11 (not for workgroup) uses network throught a dos network client

Type win to loose the power of your computer !

In order to surf and get some upgrades you'll need at least Internet Explorer 4

Can you upgrade from IE 3.0 directly to that IE 5.1 version in Win3.11? If so, that would be very useful

Is there a Firefox that will run under Windows 3.11 (or at least with Win32s installed) ? I'm pretty sure there's an old version of Opera out there that might also work, but it will probably have the shareware limitation attached.
