Hi All.
I've got a TI7NBFV on the way, which uses the Apollo Pro+ chipsets.
All indications, such as on https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/tmc-my … egastar-ti7nbfv, indicate that it has a maximum of a 100mhz FSB and only supports up to Coppermine Socket 370 Pentium III CPUs.
However, going into the manual: https://theretroweb.com/motherboard/manual/ti … 05600893968.pdf
It shows, unless I'm reading this wrong, the ability to function at bus speeds up to 150mhz.
I then looked at the voltages, with my understanding being that the Tualatin P3's requires 1.475v whereas the Coppermines are usually on 1.75v.
The board again shows in the manual that it has a CPU switching voltage of between 1.3v to 2.0v (or higher when a jumper is opened).
So, despite all the indications to the contrary, do you think this board would support a Tualatin CPU? I don't have a spare one to test, and I'd rather not purchase one only to find that it doesn't work, though I do understand that with this sort of tech archeology, there is always an element of risk.
Does anyone have one of these boards to confirm/deny?
