Sorry 3dfx Wide Driver 1.1 i did Try 1920x800 and 1680x720 Heavy Metal Fakk2 version 1.2 The Card is a Changeling 5500 PCI with HDMI
if I disable the mesafx force 16bit rendering and 16bit textures it starts with the lines
if I do not touch these settings it works
the purple lines will start at 1600×1200 if I disable mesafx force 16bit rendering and 16bit textures

At higher resolutions and 32bit colors, sli starts to "break" and you will see pink lines. This happens at 1920x1080x32 and 1600x1200x32. Using 16bit works for both of those resolutions(should). 1920x800 should be fine in both 16/32bit.
i found a way around it if my desktop resolution is 1600×1024 then 1920×800 or 1680×720 works with 32bit don't ask me why

That Driver is the Best 3dfx Experience that I ever had it's a Blast to Game games from the past in 21:9 Thanks for the Great work

Thanks, agree its a nice-to-have thing on win98.
Now if only there was a way to double the performance, bother Anthony to stop fucking around and make digital out on a 6k series a reality 😁
If a 6k comes with digital then I'm in trouble I want one AGP 4x or 8x slot would be nice =p
What game is that?

DeusEx ... shame on you.
My system in the signature is for playing games that I miss at the time =3

Yea looks good, very tidy.
If you will be bothering him with questions (as we all did 😁), ask him if you need to remove r145, if he says wtf no... ask again.
Hello Guys, nice to see someone testing this special 3dfx card. I was also watching them, however unsure because they don’t use the fastest 320 chip, also not 5ns memory. I also would like to see a test where it compared with a regular Voodoo 5, to see if AGP 4x gives any benefit? My overclocked original Voodoo 5 can run 220MHz with custom cooling, so I think this card would be a downgrade for me, yes?
My high end of '96 gaming machine;
Intel PR440FX - Pentium Pro 200MHz 512K, Matrox Millenium I 4MB, Creative 3D Blaster Voodoo II 12MB SLI, 128MB EDO RAM, Creative Sound Blaster AWE64 Gold, 4x Creative CD reader, Windows 95...
Atom Do you have bench results of 3dmark 2000 and 2001 with default settings of your 3dfx made v55 AGP?
Then i could deliver you a result to compare.
The Changeling Have HDMI and you can set a Jumper and have Double the Memory Calling that a downgrade sounds strange =P

The performance is the same as OG card, if you can hit higher clocks, then ofc it will be faster.
It can run in an agp 4x slot, it doesn't use it or any agp features.

whoa, could we see some photos or even video in action? never heard of 220mhz capable vsa100 chips.
also you may participate in this contest and take 1st place easily: https://hwbot.org/benchmark/3dmark2001_se/ran … t=0#interval=20
So... Tried 20mm tall fans.
Cant comment how they affect temperatures, cus I havent measured, they do seem to help keep it a bit more stable on my "breaking point OC". A bit louder than 10mm talls, so ... Think the main benefit is their distance from the heatsinks, so they dont recycle their own warm air. For now they can stay. Maybe they will change their sound profile in time (10mm have).
If anyone knows if there are some a4-10 in black in the wild, let me know.
And I finally found a weapon(fov) position fix for Undying that works with 21:9 (here), so yay... Little victories!
@anthony is there any chance of a Changeling offering with the VSA-100 320 chips and copper heatsinks like Dolenc has modified his board with, or are the chips too rare?
I can answer that...
Rev320 chips aren't rare, they are basically non -existant.
He had plans early on, to do exactly that, offer cards with them... But when he started making them, supply went pufffff.
How I got mine, was looking at random images on google and I saw one dude who had a picture of a palette of rev320 chips. And I very optimistically sent him an email. He had a few more left and was very kind to sell me 2.
Also Changeling card now got an updated revision, with different cooling, not sure if it can fit copper coolers now. Its more for looks anyway.
You can see it here.
Thanks, Dolenc.
I've been toying with the idea of picking up his black AGP one with DVI and the PCIE power connector. That's a very nice looking card. I also saw he was working on a PCIE version of the card which could really be interesting, but I expect most fast AGP systems would be graphics bound anyway.

yep, no sources for 320rev chips unfortunately. but you may try to find them in a private way as mr.dolenc did and i'll solder them instead 220rev chips with a deduction of their cost.
i may give you a clue, look in spain.
