Hi folks,
I'm in the process of vastly simplifying and de-cluttering my office/gaming space. At the moment I have something in the order of 30-40 consoles and computers all connected simultaneously via multiple scart switches, an OSSC, big 16 way VGA and HDMI KVM's etc. All running to my main PC with capture card and simultaneously upscaled to my main monitor. It works well, but it's just so much stuff that since I now work mostly from home, I am finding it oppressive.
I'm wanting to put almost everything in storage except one retro PC (486, VGA), an MSX (RGB Scart) and an X68000 (either 15KHz RGB Scart or 31KHz RGB/VGA) and instead have the 3 remaining retro systems on a small monitor+keyboard on my desk next to my main display - rather than repurposing the main display via OSSC+upscaler/capture card, as I do now.
In the past I had an old Samsung Syncmaster 710MP LCD TV/Monitor, and it was at least decent for VGA stuff... and while it does still work, it's pretty ancient, and is limited to RGB Scart and VGA in; no DVI-D or HDMI option (which I suspect I would still want for the X68000, and potentially even the 486 PC for non-standard DOS modes):
VGA and DVI-D (and/or HDMI instead of DVI-D) are essentials. Having native RGB Scart in (like the Syncmaster 710MP) would be a big plus, in case I ever decide to do away with the OSSC.
Is there anything newer, reasonably priced or available in the second hand market in the 17-19" LCD size that would suit?
