Hi there,

My TL688-2 is on the way and I dont know how to test SRAMs with it. Is there a procedure or source to look?

Thanks in advance.

It´s self explaining in the software menue.

Be aware, that only totally defective / blown chips will be detected. The TL688 does not test SRAM chips under real life conditions when it comes to frequency and timings. Many chips that test "o.k.", will not work on a mainboard.

True, I tested some chips using the SRAM test which turns out OK, but didn't work at all in the board. Some ISSI chips, maybe fakes. Threw them away.

Probably not fake but can not work at that specified speed.

Bought the same, probably from the same eBay seller than you and…they are absolutely remarked. They were recognised by the mainboard but don’t keep up the speed needed on my mainboard.

In the software, they can be tested using the smaller size SRAM from the same type, it seems to work.

Searching a Nexgen Nx586 with FPU, PM me if you have one. I have some Athlon MP systems and cookies.

Either "Standard SRAM" and then 628128

or Winbond W24010

Is there some output of your test?

All newly purchased srams are tested ok. But not working on ST1A board.

Took some other cache chips working on other board, again, not working on ST1A. Opened a new message to get some help.
