Consider a fresh MS-DOS 6.22 Disk1, Disk2, Disk3 install. Then add Phil's MS-DOS startup set. It provides a ready to go CD and Mouse driver support, and some different already configured Memory management environment choices.
It makes for a great base foundation. Then from here, add your unique components, such as specific sound card drivers for what you have. You can then just view Phil's autoexec.bat and config.sys to follow his example for adding your stuff.
