Is there a way to adjust the ZMBV codec settings?

I hope this isn't covered in another topic..

I love DOSBox's built-in video recording/conversion feature, spitting out nice compact avi files, but I don't quite understand the relation it has to the codec (and I don't really understand codes in general, to tell the truth). Is there any way I can adjust the settings of the codec/DOSBox so that the video records at a higher quality, even if it means much larger file sizes?

I think it doesn't apply scalers?

Really? Then I guess Youtube really doesn't like DOS games/the ZMBV codec...

Youtube doesn't like anything, but cut down the quality quite a bit so the videos won't take much bandwidth.
