I have so far failed to get this game working in Windows 2000. I tried using VDMSound, with CD support enabled, but it stops with the message
"Error : Can not find *LASERLOK* CD_ROM in any drive." (i.e. the game CD)
Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, I think this is one of those titles where the copy protection wreaks havoc on NT operating systems.
I think the hack/patch on this page might have been able to help, but the link appears to be broken. Another alternative might be to make an ISO "image" of your CD, then use Daemon Tools, to mount that image and "simulate" the Laserlok protection.
