Ok so I managed to get my hands on this game. I fixed the memory allocation problem, I fixed the stuttering sound but I haven't been able to fix the cutscenes skipping issue. Tried windowed and fullscreen. I used 0.73 and 0.72 and it's the same problem. Some of them play and some skip altogether. Any way to fix this? or Can I watch them out of the game with some software at least?

I'm on Windoes 7 and I was also wondering if there's a patch for this... I heard there was, but I can't find it anywhere.

Thanks.

what is your dosbox version and where have you got it from?
what is your Operating System?
what are your PC specifications?
post content of "DOSBox Status Window" (in Windows: right click on its title bar -> edit)
enclose your dosbox's config file

I think I had the same issue when I played it. The cut scenes play much faster than the interaction so short ones play through in an instant, or the same key press that triggered one might also have exited it.

If you set the cycles for playing you might not see the cut scenes.
However, if you set the cycles for the cut scenes everything else seems sluggish.

I have windows 7 32 bit like I said.

Dosbox 0.73 that I downloaded from the official website like I said in my 1st post.

I got a Core 2 duo processor, nVidia 9500gt video card, 2GB of RAM.

I dunno about the status window.

and here's my .conf file

# This is the configurationfile for DOSBox 0.73.
# Lines starting with a # are commentlines.
# They are used to (briefly) document the effect of each option.

# fullscreen: Start dosbox directly in fullscreen.
# fulldouble: Use double buffering in fullscreen.
# fullresolution: What resolution to use for fullscreen: original or fixed size (e.g. 1024x768).
# windowresolution: Scale the window to this size IF the output device supports hardware scaling.
# output: What video system to use for output.
# Possible values: surface, overlay, opengl, openglnb, ddraw.
# autolock: Mouse will automatically lock, if you click on the screen.
# sensitivity: Mouse sensitivity.
# waitonerror: Wait before closing the console if dosbox has an error.
# priority: Priority levels for dosbox. Second entry behind the comma is for when dosbox is not focused/minimized. (pause is only valid for the second entry)
# Possible values: lowest, lower, normal, higher, highest, pause.
# mapperfile: File used to load/save the key/event mappings from.
# usescancodes: Avoid usage of symkeys, might not work on all operating systems.

Also what are the cycles for the cutscenes? (I know where they are triggered)

Another question. How do I get to the 4th night? 🤣 I tried everything, I even got the duck tape and wrench and made it with steph and nothing.

Also what are the cycles for the cutscenes?

You'll have to figure that out on your own. Play windowed so you can see it in the title bar. Lower it until the cut scenes are shown at a reasonable speed then raise it again to continue playing. Auto will just set it to max.

How do I get to the 4th night?

Does anyone have a save at the beginning f the 4th night? I can't make it happen, so I think my game might be glitched.

Does anyone know the solution for skipped cutscene?

Okay, this is an old thread. I think the advice I gave back then worked. Experiment with different cycle counts.

The cutscenes works with cycles 5000-8000, but the game is unplayable. It is not the solution.

You could try Virtual PC 2007.

I tried vmware7 and dos 6.22:
DOS/16M error: [17] system software does not follow VCPI or DPMI specifications.

Tried VirtualPC 2007 + Windows98 - black screen, the game doesn't work.
did a hack of harvest.exe
