Does anyone know if Simcity 2000 DOS version has a higher resolution than 800x600? I thought it did, but maybe that was the windows version. I set the resolution higher for window mode in DOSbox but SC still runs lower.

If it isn't in the setup for the game then no.
Thanks, I saw in the wiki and config that you can scale DOSbox. I have windowresolution=1024x768. DO I need to change anything with render, machine, and scaler?
In your first post you were asking if SimCity itself was capable of a higher resolution......I guess that isn't what you mean and you just want to resize the game to fit your monitor?
If so then yes you need to adjust the dosbox.conf.
Yeah, I figured out I needed to change the output. I'm just trying to figure out now which scaler is best. Thanks
what is your dosbox version?
version 0.73
it is old

You might be able to trick it into using a higher resolution by using a program like VBEPLUS to remove the lower modes, since SIMCITY 2000 uses VESA (or can, dunno if you're using it). With the lower modes gone it might use the closest it can find, i.e., 1024x768.
Yushatak what games was this method working with?
