Hello,

I really enjoy DosBox and know how to change it to emulate a 386 etc. but is there a way to emulate a 8088 processor? Thank you very much.

Why? a 386 should be capable to run 8088 code accordingly.

thank you very much. I will just switch the mode to 386. The reason I did not want to do this is I was worried about speed.

what would be a good cycle number to use say for a 4.77 mhz 8088? Thank you very much.

There's no perfect number, but I generally run at 500 cycles to approximate XT speed. It's worked well with pretty much everything I've tried.
