Hallo !

I have 3 Joysticks connected to my PC to 3 USB-Gameportadapter, but it seems to be, that DOSBOX can only make use of the first two USB-Gameports on PC (#1+#2) and not of Gameport #3.

Is that correct ?!

(Because of my unusual hardware-setup and therefore an unflexibility in simply using Port #1 or #2 on my PC), it would be VERY nice, if future versions of DOSBOX would allow to make use of ANY available (!) Gamecontroller-Port of the PC, if they don't allow that now.

Any help, comment or confirmation is welcome, thanks !

correct.
Not sure if I want to complicate matters for your unusual setup.

Hi !

Thanks for an answer.

A simple solution would be to implement the possibility to select any physical gameport on the PC. Like this, most other emulators (I use several ones) are handling this. Flexible for anyone.

Would be glad to see this in DOSBOX as well.

Thought you can reorder your controllers in some Windows control panel menu.

1+1=10

Thanks for answer ... yes, I thought about that before, too ... but seems to be not an easy task at all, to reorder Joyports in Win 7 x64.

That could be a workaround, if I am able to manage it (and if it is possible to do). Best solution of course, would always be, if Emulator is flexible configurable - as I told, most other emulators doing like this 😀
