I don't really want to buy a soundcard no matter ISA or PCI. Am also trying to get Solstice to work on my laptop (sony P3 700). It's got Yamaha Legacy, etc. as sound card.

Solstice loads up the sound setup. But since the sound setup program is MIDAs 0.5 so old, it's only got like the Gravis UltraSound, Pro Audio Spectrum, Windows Sound System, and the Sound Blaster series....

I've been trying each sound card with different IRQs, I/O, DMA settings coz you have to select them manually - no auto-detect. Two things would be good - either:

a) Solstice gets updated with auto-detect or new list of sound cards.
b) DOSBOX can emulate Solstice...
