As a spinoff of my K6-2+ 500 thread, on the suggestion of Tetrium, creating here a seperate thread for everyone from far and wide to post their Retro system's SuperPi results.

There is a copy (Freeware) of SuperPi 1.1 (Modded for decimals) attached to this post that will run on Win9x operating systems all the way to XP. Works on 7 too, but this versions not for multicore CPUs. As SuperPi relies on the x86 instruction set, it should theoretically run on 486 machines as well, but haven't tried this yet.

Test Guidelines:
All tests run at 1M, a setting appropriate for Pentium/II/III class CPUs, as anything bigger would take too long, yet is big enough to show comparitive performance. (If you use anything other than 1M, please document it.)

Also document any additional system specs, Motherboard Chipset, L2 Cache (if on motherboard), RAM quantity and type, OS. Also document FSB and multiplyer settings if running out of spec (ie: a K6 300, running at 3x 100MHz FSB instead of 4.5x 66MHz)

So far I've run a few tests, as follows:

Athlon X2 4850e (2.5GHz Brisbane, 2x512k L2) - 36.219s

System: Asus M5A88-E(880G)/16GB DDR3-1600/Win7x64
Phenom II X6 1090T (3.2GHz+Turbo, Thuban Core, 6x512k L2, 6MB L3) = 21.434s

Awesome! Keep'em coming! I just updated my top post with more results, including results from my PIII-class chips as well as my Athlon64 3700+. I was actually surprised to see that the PIII 650 was quicker than a Celeron 800 (a result that was the same in 3DMark01 as well). Must be the extra Cache, plus I think the PIII's Cache technology is more advanced (IE: 16 way vs 4 way). Not sure.

I noticed this exact same thing. The Celerons always were roughly 70% of the speed of it's bigger Pentium 3 brother.

Unfortunately my K6-III/400 rig refused to load Windows for some reason so no results from that rig.

Just for kicks I tested my laptop (MacBook Pro Early 2011: Core i7-2720QM 2.2Ghz, 8GB DDR3, Win7 BootCamp). 12.854s. 😜 Going to try my other two machines, a P133 and an Athlon 64 3500+ I have here in a bit.

HP Pavilion a1130n, MSI MS-7093 motherboard, Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2Ghz, 1.5GB DDR1, XP SP3: 43.906s

Just tested my Laptop. I set CPU Affinity in Task Manager to Core #2 for an added boost.

Phenom II X3 E840 (1.9GHz, Caspian core, 3x512mb L2 Cache, No L3) = 41.169s
HP G62-365CA, 880G Chipset, 4GB DDR3-1066, Win7x64

EDIT: Also my Media Centre (Again set affinity to Core #2):

Btw, I don't know why the 2 Athlon 64's have such different results, the CPU's are nearly identical, same fsb etc. I wonder what causes the difference. Maybe it's just the junk I have installed on these rigs 🤣

Well I checked:
Mod 1.5/XS uses kernel functions that got introduced in Win2K.
The version with the decimals requires Win9x. (I guess they patched a bit more, cause just adding decimals to the output can't explain the step from Win 3.x to Win9x requirements)
The original version from Prof. Yasumasa Kanada works however in Win 3.x.
