Hello people, I have a 486 MOBO with a broken pin.
To be specific, it is one of the pins oh the Turbo Led jumper.
Should I try soldering the pin? Or is it too dangerous?
I see desoldering more difficult than the welding it self.
What about welding from the other side of the board? Just weld a little cable?

you can try heating the solder around the pin and either remove it with small pliers or push it so you can remove it later... as long as the solder around the pin hole is melted you can move/remove it. Then it's easy to replace it or solder a wire directly.
Just use some ~20W iron and be carefull not to heat for a long time because you will cause damage. Practicing on some broken hardware first is a good idea 😀

Thanx a lot Keropi, I have a board where I will do a little bit of practicing first!
