BRSMS works under DOSBox! At least in the recent CVS. It's even almost full speed for me, I've estimated at 12000 cycles it's roughly equivalent to a 486 DX33.

Just a super cool thing to run an emulator inside an emulator, something I've wanted to do for ages.

I wonder... if you could run BrSMS under DOSBox under VirtualPC running Windows.

Genecyst (the old megadrive emu) runs; although it highlighted a few
flaws I fixed (way back when) in VESA.

Kgen (another megadrive emu) doesn't run.

No surprise Kega doesn't run. Steve does so many wacky things with hardware tricks and such that you really need actual hardware for half his stuff to work.

My favourite combination (though it doesn't involve DosBox) would be to run Wine compiled by CygWin under Wine compiling CygWin under Wine.

NO$GMB will run full speed for original GB games at least, GBC is slow though.

Swim, swim, hungry! Stupid fish.
