Any game demos with built-in time-demos or a benchmark menu option are highly desirable!

I am afraid too many of these tests/games were targets of driver cheats.

Driver cheats have been crossing my mind lately too. Mostly the 'reducing image quality to gain performance' cheat.

It would be nice to have a list of all drivers that contain cheats and which cheats.

I just ran into that one while searching for a PCPBench download, and it seems to be a rather ugly hack of PCPBench.
The engine was originally programmed for the game Strike Base.

I did not manage to get ScienceMark 32bit working on a fresh install of Windows 98SE

I like CPUmark99. One file, one test, one score.
OpenGL Village Mark looks great. I have to test that bench.

though the benchmark site itself has long been deprecated since so it's not really functional for results unless someone hacks up a trainer to display the results recorded internally.

Skyscraper, at this point it's all about collecting. I wasn't aware that benchmark needs, Internet. Thanks for pointing it out.

The idea is that, eventually, we can get a benchmark database project going and we will decide on which ones to include and there will be pre-tests going on to look at scalability from an old Pentium to a fast Pentium 4 or Athlon. I learnt a lot from the VGA benchmark.

Any other benchmarks we can add? It has quietened down a little 😀

It downloaded fine under Chrome. I'm just trying out a HDD benchmark from Adaptec (Threadmark) then will checkout MDK.

I think I will also split up this thread into one for DOS, one for Windows 3.11 and one for Windows 98SE because it's getting a bit messy 😀

Strange. Link work for me in Google Chrome, but you can't click it directly, you need to go to Fileplanet and click the download button. Probably some relink protection.

MDK2

This one doesn't appear very demanding at all. Seems to be locked at 60 FPS. Complaints about no Sound Card, but continues after error.
