Please! I always wanted to finish this game but I can't get to run it on my Windows XP. I've tried everything (that I know of)! VDMSound, DosBox, and a couple of more tricks I thought I knew....

Through DosBox I can at least run the game... but the sound is choppy and the speed is very poor. Please HELP ME!!

Works fine for me. WinXP - Athlon XP 1800+
What soundcard did you choose?. Choose a plain regular SB.

I chose a regular Sound Blaster. I tried it both on a Pentium 3 500MHZ (with XP, ofcourse) and also on a Pentium 4 2.4GHZ (also XP). They both had the same "symptoms". Do you really mean it worked absolutely fine and smooth for you?

Yes it was quite playable. Did you try some of the CVS releases? You may need also tweak frameskipping/cycles a bit.

What are CVS? And yes, I tweaked with the cycles/frames alot - It's a no go.

CVS is short for Concurrent Version System (i think) and it's some sort of beta testing thing in which developers put out the latest changes for testing. CVS releases are not supported though. You can get latest CVS release (rjpa) here: http://www.gameforums.org/index.php?
