A wireless keyboard is a cool thing, but unfortunately it has a german
key layout and dosbox has an english one, the key needed to type the
backslash in dosbox is simply missing 🙁

so I was wondering, is there a way to load the german key layout at
startup ? ... like:

LH c:\windows\ommand\keyb gr,,c:\windows\command\keyboard.sys

I'd really like to play around with this program a little more, but to be
able to start I need to at least mount a drive c: which is only possible
when I get to type that silly "backslash" 😁

thank you

You don't need the backslash anyway, the forwardslash does exactly the same if used in a path name.

Can't you add a second keyboard/layout capability to your system, and then simple switch to US-layout when you run DOSBox?

Uhm, I have a German KB as well and the backslash is the combination of "Alt-GR + ?"... Did you try that ? Or alternatively, you write it into a batchfile for dosbox. I think in the config of dosbox you can do such command lines 😀

Thank you guys !!

The Alt-GR + ? combination didn't work for me, but creating a batchfile and then running dosbox did do the trick !! 😀

I didn't know you can use the normal / too, you learn something new every day 😁

Now to get the sound emulation to work properly, hehe

thanks again 😀

the backslah normally is [alt gr] + 92 ; or [Ctrl] +[alt] + 92, which is basically the same.
But these Number codes don't work in (my) dosbox anyway...
Maybe this'll be useful for you elsewhere.
