Just curious, is it possible to see a Dreamcast port of DOSBox in the future? The Dreamcast scene is very active, many tutorials and a free, open source developing kit is available, called KallistiOS.

Only if somebody volunteers to do it (sources are freely available). Other conditions are that there must be SDL port available and a filesystem available on Dreamcast (I do not know whether it is so).

Yepp, SDL is available on the Dreamcast, see http://sdl-dc.sourceforge.net/. Unfortunately I really don't know if it will fit on the Dreamcast the techniqual way cause it has "only" 200 MHz and 8 MB of ram.
It's should be great ... and on other ports link GameBoy advance or the next sony PSP
Sorry for my poor english ! 😉 But, try to speak french like I'm speak english ! 😀 It's not easy !
Unless you seriously strip down dosbox to reduce it's memory usage it's never gonna work, without the dynamic core your probably looking at about 20 mb memory usage and that's with only 1 mb of system memory 😀
Oh, I did not realize in my reply that Dreamcast has less memory than average calculator .... 😀 The 200 Mhz processor would be probably enough for simple PC XT games, but 8 MB memory is just too little. Forget it, it is not worth the effort.
I guess that the topic was exhausted so I close it. And if somebody is really crazy enough to attempt the port, he should go to Dosbox Development forum
