Occasionally my DOSbox run starts showing this message in the 'background' and then restarts DOSbox running the same App, what gives? I'm trying to get an old DOS compiler up and running on DOSbox under Windows 7. Running Subst.exe, PATH directories, & Insufficient Memory are problems we are having if these have any influence on this restart issue. How does an App 'request' a restart? Am I doing this without knowing it?

Ideas where or what to try next?

This is part of why you should not be using DOSBox for anything other than games. Really, try a VM.

Are you talking about VMware? I used it and disliked it due to its re-defining of my keys. Had to throw that PC out the window in order to get ride of VMware. Not good.
