System: Windows 7 x64 SP1, sound card: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Profess1onal.
Default Settings Creative Alchemy:
Buffers=4
Duration=25
MaxVoiceCount=128
DisableDirectMusic=0

Sound in the game after some time interrupted and wheezing.
What settings Creative Alchemy needed for Soldier of Fortune 2: Double Helix, that sound is not rattled and not interrupted ?

Are you using latest ALchemy version version ?

These settings will not help. I'm using the latest drivers from Daniel_K: XFI_SupportPack_3_3

I happened to try this game a few days ago on my X-Fi Ti. I didn't try Alchemy but I did switch the game into its "EAX" mode in its sound menu and that was messed up. It wasn't entirely broken but sounds were missing/muted in strange ways. I'm not sure if that is an OpenAL mode or what.

Wouldn't mind testing this on a XP machine and Windows 8.1 with ALchemy, but I don't have the game.

IIRC the EAX setting is just "s_useOpenAL 1", have you tried dropping different openal32.dlls in the SOF2 folder?

The game used EAGLE tool to add audio. Creative said it could have supported open AL too.
And hey, indeed it seems it did!

So we'll probably have better to not use ALchemy (even though it will be better than nothing should there not be any native audio renderer in the system)
