hello guys, I have this mobo with amd486 DX4 @ 100 bought for only 3 euros 😀
I am looking for a suitable BIOS, the CPU gets warm but no output, I cant see any damaged tracks or else, in fact, the Mobo looks brand new. I think that I could give it a try, flashing the bios, don't see what could be the problem. New CR2032 fitted.
Thanks,
Jorge

I have sent a PM to b_rros but he can't help out.... does not have the mb and he couldn't get it to work also 🙁 I am in stage 0 again... I can pay a fee for the trouble of getting a bios dump to this mobo. I really want to put it in working conditions

Are you sure the jumpers are configured correctly?

You can find the settings here: http://motherboards.mbarron.net/models/486pci/j446a.htm

The correct setting would be:

CMOS keep -> JP2&3 -> 1-2
Bus speed -> 33MHz - > JP12 -> 1-2 & JP11 -> 1-2&2-4
Voltage 3,3V -> JP31 -> 2-3 & JP34 -> 2-3 & JP32 -> 5-6

Now there is a question which CPU you have, the one with WriteBack cache or WriteThru cache. You can find the jumper setting on page 22.

Be sure to check the rest of the jumpers.

I dont have the best news now. Perhaps this can be usefull to: http://www.jetway.com.tw/evisn/download/d446.htm

Maybe this could help:
http://www.badflash.com/findbios.htm

This seems to be that this is the original jetway download website:

http://web.archive.org/web/20000304162044/htt … visn/index.html

1.BIOS:
We are sorry. You can not update the BIOS (EPROM) for your motherboard due to the chip used at that period of time. Please try contacting our dealer or distributor that near you for assistance.
This is what their website saying.. This means that this manufacturer never ever have release a Bios update file on their website... So trying to get an rom file on the orginal website wont be the solution..

Only what would help is trying to find an second one with a working rom chip on it and clone it (and have backups for future uses) Or having lucky to proudly landing an a ROM collection website who have the right rom for you..

The board is also known as KM-S4-1, Rectron RT-4s3 . Try to find one if these roms.. Maybe they would work for you.
