You can always use the SVN builds.
My personal favorite is Daum. He usually updates at least once a year, sometimes a bit more often.

ykhwong's is broken.

What do you mean?

The most stable version is the latest 2014 build. All the 2015 builds are crap and have broken scaling.

Can someone edit the headline of this topic? It suggests that ykhwong has a mental health problem, whereas the actual subject is his Daum version of DOSBox.

Going ad hominem at ykhwong is daft.

If you know the unstable issue was introduced at some build it could be found by testing various old builds and using something like diff/araxis merge to pinpoint what code was changed once you located the build introducing the problem.

Couple other builds worth trying are the dosbox-x and this

https://github.com/duganchen/dosbox/blob/mast … ENHANCEMENTS.md

I also have my own 0.74 build with just MUNT added. Intel profile guided opt. build is around 7% faster in Doom timedemo using C2Duo.

The problem is that ykhwong uses too many different patches... In this case it seems that he chose the wrong time to implement Dosbox-x.
Since he didn't use git or so you can't trace the problem...

The yhkwong build had some problems back in 2013 but I don't know if they were fixed in 2014. The problem I had was that after exiting a game, running another game might not work, there could be garbage on the screen etc.

I've never had ANY problems with any of the Daum builds. I don't know what the fuck you guys are talking about. Either your computers sucks ass or you're doing something wrong.
