Wow, why would you even want to run Linux under DOSbox?
If you want to run Linux under Windows, take a look at:
http://www.colinux.org/
Or use Bochs or VMware.
Thats actually kind of funny though you have to admit! 😮 Try disabling XMS and EMS to see if it helps it along. Whether or not it will load all the way is another story. If it does, let us know! It would be funny...I mean why not? We already are at win3.11, why not nix?

ps- Theres also another problem...running linux in dos? Linux must boot on its own and not under another layer.

I disabled EMS and XMS, and I still got the same error message.
