Cheers Phil, yeah I want to play with the A3D a bit more, connect the Vortex to some nice headphones and play something with good A3D support!

Thanks clueless1, glad you liked it! 😀

There was supposed to be a repair video for my Famicom Disk System, but all it needed was some solder joints fixed, so I decided not to bother making a full length video and just show the thing working.

So here 'tis!

Cool videos, need to watch some more while I work.
Noticed the Vortex 2 wasn't detected in the post, 12EB:0002 isn't there in the list. But it worked in windows, you reseat it during the cut? 😉 no irq conflicts with all that fun in there?

Sharp eye! I noticed that while I was editing. I never reseated any cards after that point (except the NIC obviously), so I can only guess that I must have bumped it while getting the HDD in or out and it "came good".

Something to keep an eye on going forward, I suppose!

Cool, very interesting episodes! I liked the DOS/V part, too. 😀

Bye the way, perhaps you don't have to remove the Japanese drivers.

My copy of MS-DOS/V 6.2 can switch between Japanese and English on the fly.
I had to enter "us" for English mode and "jp" for Japanese mode (there's more to it).

Anyway, it's just an idea. I never had the TeraDrive version, maybe it behaves differently.

Part 3 of Episode 36 is live!

In this part of the Teradrive saga, I add a much-needed second ISA slot, and take a look at some of the unique graphics capabilities.

Interesting! But even if that was an option, the TSR's for Japanese mode use a lot of RAM, so my method has that going for it! 😜

Agreed, no problem. 😀 I just thought it might be handy to have both incase you want to run jap. DOS games or utilities.
If you need Kanji/JIS support occasionally, there's a little TSR, DOS-J Plus (pw dosjp12), which can be loaded at runtime and kinda gets away with garbled text.

Btw, I've just watched your new episode in which you soldered that ISA connector - congrats on a job well done! 😁

Cheers man! 😀

Part 4 (the final part) of Episode 36 is live!

I get the sound card playing nicely with the sans-negative-12v Teradrive, and mix the outputs for added convenience.

Oh Copysoft, why were you so damn lame???

Glad to see your Youtube channel is still active, which I've subscribed too btw. I was intending on PMing you, but the forum system isn't very friendly to newcomers.

Long story short, I'm a graphics artist turned computer technician who's taking his work on the road in a year or two. To facilitate using older win 98/xp accessories, I'm setting up a backlog of drivers so I have their accompanying software. I was pleased to discover your collection of such data, but it's behind a login when creating a self-contained archive. I read the archive is gigabytes in size, but that's why I wish to have a localized source instead of online dependent. My Thread provides details regarding the nomadic setup. Feel free to PM me any questions.
