Hi! My pc is: Athlon XP 2400+, 512 Mb ram, Radeon 9700 Pro, LCD 17", Win XP Pro.
I modified the default conf file only for these options:

fullscreen=true
fulldouble=true
fullfixed=true
fullresolution=1280x1024
output=ddraw
...
aspect=true
scaler=advinterp2x

All other options are default. I don't know how to modify core and cycles.
Are these the best settings for my pc?

well fulldouble is almost always bad for performance.

the core and cycles are for more important (and frameskip is important as well)
just scroll a bit lower in the dosbox.conf and you will notice them.

Thanks for you reply!
Ok, fulldouble=true is bad for performance, but is it for more quality?
Sorry for my bad English, I not understood that you said about core and cycles 😢

well it's against tearing of the screen but I never noticed and I have it off 😀

cpu cycles, frameskip,core can be found a bit lower in the dosbox.conf file.

Dosbox by default doesn't use all your cpu power when emulating.
so if it's too slow you can increase the amount of power used by increasing the cpu cycles.
