Maybe you're a smoker or I’m just lucky when it comes to my collection. Some of these oldies never seem to yellow. I've collected for 5 years. None of my cases have yellowed yet. They look the same as when I found them, other than maybe a few extra scratches.
Weird thing is, I've owned my second hand Super Nintendo for exactly about 10 years. It came reasonably yellowed but has not yellowed any extra since I’ve owned it. 😕 Maybe it has to do with air quality..
It has nothing to do with smoke from tobacco. The most widely explanation is that the fire retardents in abs plastic, reacts to UV light thus turning white/beige plastic yellow over time. I have a feeling that it is not just UV light that are the sole culprit. I have an idea that oxygen are to play a major role too. The reason for this, is all those reports of abs plastic, turning yellow despite being packed in a sealed box in a warehouse.
Yes. Nicotine stains. It can be removed easily with benzine (gasoline to clean with), alcohol or any other stuff like that.
Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.
Those cakes make you sick....
