That CyberPro 2000 is intriguing. Some benchies would be cool.

I also have one of those dual 6600 gigabyte boards, however I can't get the 2nd GPU to work in anything than the motherboard it was bundled with 🙁 - if you have any luck getting it to work in another board, please let me now. Here's a pic of my card sans the cooler shroud. I had it cleaned and replaced a couple of bulging caps.

This card is still in transit, but I'm very excited for it to arrive. It is an original Turtle Beach Multisound (later renamed the Multisound Classic). However, it is a Rev 01 board, which has a different layout from all of the original Multisounds that I've seen. For instance, this informative page shows the Rev 02 board: http://alasir.com/software/multisound/

The photo is not great (taken off eBay), but you can see most of the differences.

The card also comes with the manual and installation disks too.

Iam testing 5% of any HW, easy buy lot of than play with it 😀

What is version of your 6600? Gb made 3 types:

6600 256MB
6600GT 256MB (my pieces)
6600GT 512MB

Looks you have same only not complete cooler.

You need SLI support on mb for good working, will test one.

The early nVidia single board SLI solutions were not reference designs thus had limited compatibility with mainboards. On this page you will see a list of compatible mainboards which should work nVidia Series 6 dual cards as well: https://www.asus.com/us/Graphics-Cards/EN7800 … V512M/overview/

Over the past weeks I found a few interesting cards which I thought I'd share:

Dynamic Pictures (later bought out by 3Dlabs) Oxygen 102 prototype:

Orchid Voodoo Rush never released prototype

Diamond Voodoo Rush never released prototype

And a bit of project I'd like to restore when I have some time:

Pretty sure it's the 256MB 6600GT version. As for SLi support - if not using a gigabyte board, only one GPU is detected. When I use the nforce board it was bundled with, both are detected fine and I can enable SLi in nvidia control panel.

Funny. I have owned five Diamond MX300, but I haven't seen an Aureal Vortex 2 card made by Aureal itself. Your card almost looks like Diamond, but the three connectors have different colors.

Never thought this thread would be that long, but now, for something different.....

I just received my FX 5500 PCI, and after I removed cooler, I found a curios 5500 chip with "NPB" suffix.
Q : What "NPB" stands for ?

Had another "Find of the Century" moment......

Went to this little hole in the wall computer surplus shop near where I work downtown. I decided to go there and see if they had any parts I needed, they did have quite a few things for some future stuff, but nothing I have an immediate want/need for. Then I found this......

1988 NEC MultiSync II JC-1402HMA 14" CRT

After finding a 486 in it's original configuration which the owner was sentimental about and had it sitting amongst for-sale stuff for god only knows what reason, I asked him "how much" for the monitor - he gave me the best price in the world - FREE!

It does work but it's going to need some repairs to the input board because the DB-9 connector is flaky. I can't get it to get rid of the colored hues depending on cable position, tried 2 cables, so the problem is definatley the DB-9, but reflowing/resoldering it 2-3 times now and little improvement other than a stable image has me thinking I will probalby need to desolder it, clean the traces, and put a new one on (time to go to Vetco). I'm going to replace that connector with something cleaner and newer.. Flexing either cable around thusly moving the connector causes the image to become clear and sometimes full color for a second or two, also, the cables feel loose into the back. Could also be a grounding issue too because I see some brown corrosion around where the screws attach the input board to it's sub-chassis.

Got the service manual from here, if's for UK Spec, but it works for mine to help with testing and disassembly, also works as the owners manual as well. - http://www.epanorama.net/sff/Computer/Monitor … ies_Monitor.pdf

I'm still shocked, it even has the original cable, and the 9-pin to 15-pin converter so it pretty much works with every PC in my house up to 640X480 res (actually 800X560 according to the service manual). Plus now my Tandy has a monitor.

Here's some pics

I found the service manual and serviced the connector myself, it looks like this one is too corroded or the board needs some TLC before I can continue using it.

Opened up it's very clean inside, which is surprising. Actually, the lack of yellowing and original cables is also surprising.

Got my hands on a Diamond Stealth64 VLB 2MB (S3 Trio64) with box, manuals and drivers CD. Everything looks pristine, and it seems to be a really late VLB card since there are Monster 3D ads in the flyers.

Ordered two S3 PCI cards today: Virge GX and Trio64V+. Going to bench them to see how they compare to the Virge 325 and Trio64 V2/DX. Part of my ongoing quest to test and rank all the S3 PCI cards in DOS.

The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know.

In dos that should go well. I mostly care for 3d so i tested my s3 line-up in win98se and 3dmark99 😁

I tested the trio64v+, virge, virge DX, Virge GX, trio3D agp, savage 3d and savage4. Let's just say that the speed of the last 2 actually surpised me, but the others were extremely useless.... The last 2 were also okay when it came to ''correctness'' of the rendering, so s3 made a big improvement at that time in hardware AND software. Trio64v+ up to trio3d were bad and there was a lot of artifacts while going 3fps.....

When testing 2d speed (dos games) i do not expect huge differences, but i am curious.
