Hello everybody, just found an interesting article (PCB included) from 1997.
It's about an external MIDI amplifier/adapter board for the DB50XG (and probably any other waveblaster compatible card).
English títle "Yamaha DB50XG stand alone soundcard" by T. Scarff.
German title "Synthesizer mit Yamaha DB50XG-Karte" by T. Scarff.
You may find it in the online archive (in English language).
It was also published in German elektor magazine (p.20, 7/97).
And can be found on the official CD-ROM archive "1002 Schaltungen" (1002 Schematics, Amazon).
I'm sure there are also other language versions around (see Elektuur from Netherlands).
Anyway, it's nothing spectacular. 😅
I just thought it would be interesting for one or two of you MIDI fans out there. ^^
PS: A simpler version of such a device (no pass-through) can be found here (also with PCB):
