The guide says to create the folder and move the game into it. is it ok to install a game based on 16 bit windows? i get a little popup that says 16 bit windows subsystem and can either ignore and install or cancel. Should i install or cut and paste everything from all three disks into it? Note: game is Freespace2

Isn't FreeSpace 2 a Windows only game? If so then you can't use DosBox with it.....

IIRC, Freespace 2 isn't a 16bit game but the installer probably is, if so you probably have corrupted CONFIG.NT and AUTOEXEC.NT files.

Copy Autoexec.NT and Config.NT from C:\Windows\Repair to C:\Windows\System32 and retry the FreeSpace installation from Windows.

niether of those are in my C:\windows\repair folder only ahve default,secsetup, setup system, sam, security, software. help?
