Hi from Germany!

My problem is, that I can`t run Nobunaga`s Ambition II with DOSBox 0.63.
Is anybody out there who knows how to run or who has some experience with this great game ?
I just see the Intro and if want to skip it with "enter" then this appears:

"read open err A:KAODATA.DAT"

What can I do?

It is looking for the file KAODATA.DAT on drive A (a diskette).

Please read the ReadMe and/or the Wiki to learn how to create/make available a diskette in DOSBox.

thanks for your reply.
i did, for sure.
so i wrote in dosbox.exe:

mount C C:/oldgames (that`s where dosbox and my oldgames are)
mount A C:/oldgames/nobu2/a (it`s the folder for disk a)
mount B C:/oldgames/nobu2/b (it`s the folder for disk b)
A:/keyb gr (german keyboard)
A:
koei (necessary for starting the game)

Do you see any misstakes?

GREAT!
It works!
Thank you very much.

The only thing left is the sound of this game. Do you know what to do?

Hmm.. Instead of start the game directly (with "koei"), check if there is an extra program pn A: for configuring sound. It may be called sound.bat, sound.com, setup, or something.

If you find it, make sure that when it ask you for stuff like IO-address, DMA-address, IRQ-number, etc, etc, that you reply with the same values that is listed in the dosbox.conf file in your DOSBox program directory.
