PCem is more compatible. But slow.
(You can also test 86box which has some more features.)
There you can choose to emulate a Voodoo 1 or Voodoo 2 Add-on card.

Dosbox is very experimental, not stable and unsupported.

It depends on the Game what you use.

Best way to play is searching a patch to run the game under native Windows (10), or WindowsXp in a VM with 3d Acceleration.

3D Acceleration never worked for me in VirtualBox only in VMware.

It did partially work for me. OpenGL worked better, as far as I remember. For DDraw/Direct3D, VBox is using a wrapper, I think.
To make 3D support work in XP, the virtual additions must be installed in safe mode (and 3D option must be checked).

Why are you running Windows 2000 in PCEM especially when this thread is about Windows 98?

Because i want to see how it works in PCem.

One game works in PCem 11 in Windows 95 but not working in PCem 12. Is PCem 11 better?
