They have a Phoenix-based customized OEM BIOS. Those machines I used for Windows 95 and MS-DOS.

To everyone else, nice machines! Especially clueless1's Vectra... don't see too many of those tower ones.

As to that HP Pavilion 7410p, it seems to have the following: 145W PSU, 200MHz Pentium MMX, 24MB RAM standard, 2.1GB hard drive,

You can grab the info for it here under Advanced http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?type=PRO … archText=D5249A

Is that a convertible case? i.e. can it be used with the drives rotated 90 degrees?

I'm not aware that I can rotate the drive bays or mount the drives in a rotated position.

Looking a little further, I don't believe this model can. I remember seeing at least one HP model ca 1994 which had that capability, but I can't remember which line it was. I just remember that it was one of the coolest things I've seen in terms of computer chassis design.

This is the HP e-PC C10, this was my first desktop computer back in 2005, it went through several stages of disrepair (mainly a motherboard failure in 2011) but I managed to restore it in working condition in 2014.

So i finally opened the hp pavillion 7410p and its a interesting oem 430hx board but it uses like a riser setup for the isa and pci slots. Has onboard yamaha opl chip and uses a seperate card with a ess es938j chip with audio jacks. Has onboard s3 virge eh. So i might get this oldie a shot. After i retrobright that photodrive.

Pretty sweet RISC box there! Welcome aboard.

Today I got this Pavilion in the mail and I tore it apart, cleaned it, reassembled and upgraded it. Runs very nicely. More pictures + info here https://imgur.com/a/fAnCF

Thank you! I have always liked "geeking" on the old RISC systems from the 90's. It's a shame that they're no longer being developed.
