I was cleaning up a bit, and one thing led to another. I had previously put my Pentium Pro motherboard and CPU in a desktop case that I got from work (it held a Pentium 3 there). I had to find a place for the SCSI storage system I bought a few weeks back so I put them together. Current config:
Chaintech 6ITM motherboard
Pentium Pro 200MHz 256kb cache (I also have 4 200MHz 512kb cache ones so need to upgrade)
16 MB RAM (need to upgrade this!)
Matrox G200 PCI (first PCI card I could find, seems appropriate?)
Adaptec 2940U2 PCI SCSI Controller
Quantum Atlas IV SCSI LVD (love thos crunchy flatcables) (9 GB I think?)
Plextor SCSI Ultraplex 40 (yay! a real classic)
Plextor SCSI Plexwriter RW 4/2/20 (another classic)
The case is quite full, a bit worried about the temperature when I will close the case. Also a noisy system, Atlas IV is a whining HDD 🙁
There is a Windows 98 install on the HDD that boots (after ... reboots, the original system it came from was an Asus P5A system).
What do you guys think, NT4 or Windows 2000? NT4 right?
