I don't know. Years ago, I had got a copy of Sam&Max (Jewel Case).
But it was an OEM version, so to say. It also contained shareware, demos and the CD-Audio tracks.
And no, it was no pirate copy. It was a legal copy, licensed for a big regional book/software publisher of the 90s.
Many years later, I got a new copy of Sam&Max in the form of a DVD box.
The disc contained the manual as PDF, a Windows executable and the old DOS files.
I haven't checked the audio tracks, but I assume they were there (if media was a CD-ROM).
