There are a bunch of modified initializers for the YMF cards depending on what motherboard chipset your computer has.
I have them all on my google drive.

They are available for VIA, Intel ICH2, ICH4, ICH5, and SIS.
The SETUPDS could be modded for other chipsets as well.
The original supports different ones than the modified ones, but you can get that from wherever.

Being relatively inexperienced with sound card troubleshooting, and older motherboard chipsets in general, which one should I download from your drive?
You have an Intel 440BX/ZX chipset. In that case, you shouldn't even need a modified SETUPDS as the stock one should work just fine.
The stock one supports Intel 430TX, 440LX, 440BX and ALI Aladdin 4, ALI Aladdin 5
I have uploaded the latest stock DOS mode setup to my google drive as well in the same folder as linked earlier.
There is also a readme file included with pretty good setup instructions for SETUPDS.
You will probably have to play around with SETUPDS to figure out what I/O and DMA ports will work on your setup.
Depending on how it is wired up, it may even have the PC-PCI/SB-LINK connection which makes things even easier.
