Hello all. Someone here once mentioned a data recovery program that would allow you to scan the same damaged CD in several different drives, and would then assemble an image of the disk that would be less corrupt than if you had used just one drive. What was this called? The only thing I've found that sounds like this is IsoPuzzle, but that hasn't been updated in nearly a decade.

ddrescue can do that. I've only ever used it with floppies but no reason it can't work with a CD. Expect it to be slow though.

Thanks guys. I tried all three programs and got similar results with each one. About 99% of data was recovered after a couple of passes, and I haven't found any damaged files. This on a CD that wasn't even readable in Windows or Linux. (A CD-R burned in 2001)
