Fancy system. I have one AT case, but it's falling apart: HDD mounting bracket isn't staying in place, screws won't stay in, and the motherboard can short out easily since there's a big area that doesn't have mounting screw connections.

The cases aren't cheap on eBay, so I'm out of options and re-threading the case isn't an option.

Nice case. I recently got exactly the same case from an old collector friend of mine who was downscaling
Mine has a Pentium 120 MHz in it.
Amazingly enough, the turbo switch does actually work on this PC and does slow it down.

What I would like to know is how you managed to get this for $50 shipped. Wouldn't shipping alone be $50? I know Americans get everything for about half the cost of everyone else, but this still has me mystified. Have US shipping rates dropped? Did the guy sell it for 1 cent? Does it have something to do with the new America-first legislation in which shipping within the USA is free?

That case badge you posted, https://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Intel-Penti … 31/112625595502 , for a $2 sticker, he wants $75 to ship it to Canada.

I shipped full size AT case and older server atx cases for around 20$. If you buy your shipping label on paypal you get a good discount. And if you ship usps parcel select you can save alot of money. But not every plcae is so cheap, I shipped cases were the cost was well over 100$.
Its all about the shipping zone your in.

I'm guessing rural areas get the shaft in that regard?

I've never worked out the logic for Canada Post, send something gameboxed size down into US, hicksville Alabama or somewhere, $15, send it somewhere out in BC, $20, send it across Ontario basically just the other side of the area the main Mississauga sorting depot serves, 1 hop, $25 wat? ... at least it seems that way.

Edit: Next time I should put fictional US address on it, with return address where I want it to go to 🤣

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

You're exactly right, I've noticed this too. It's often (but not always) more expensive to ship something domestically then it is internationally. Distance and package size/weight seems to not matter. Canada Post is ridiculous.

Oh wow, I didn't look at the shipping cost when I posted that link.

When asked whether he really ships outside the US, one gets this answer:

As long as Ebay controls the terms......NO. I ship ever day all over the world from my website for 5 bucks

So there is apparantly a secret website somewhere, providing cheaply delivered stickers for the location impaired non-US citizens.... 😜
