Under the video card "Intel Extreme Graphics", Dosbox completly freaks out.
The two problems are:
1) The bottom picture also shows up on top - both in a regular and a full video mode.
2) The screen flips to the side - only in full video mode.

I've tried playing with all the video settings, but to no avail.
Actually, "fullfixed=false" at least solves the latter problem (but even in full mode, the bottom picture still shows up on top).

as you nicely pointed out it happends with a certain videocard. So maybe it's not dosbox freaking out, but the videocard ?

you could try replacing sdl.dll with the regular 1.28 version of sdl (www.libsdl.org)

It may happen in a certain video card, but not in a certain game. It happens in all the games under that card.

I'll try switching the DLLs.

sdl.dll v1.28 didn't make any difference.
So didn't ykhwong's Korean CVS build (BTW, AEP Emulation's site doesn't work).

Get a decent Videocard.

Heck, even the Cheap Geforce 4 MX cards, are better than that Intel rubbish.

Athlon 64 3000+ stock
MSI NForce 4 K8N Neo Platinum
2Gb RAM
nVidia Geforce 6800GT stock clocks
SBLive! Platinum + Audigy ZS2 Drivers
WinXP Pro SP2

At the very least, make sure you're using the latest available drivers and DirectX version.

First of all, it's not my own computer...
Secondly, robertmo was right! It was a specific game problem and I solved it by adding a special configuration line to the game's config file (as written both in its readme and even in DOSBox' comp_list).

This (specific) game still can't run in full screen though, but at least it's it works perfectly in a regular window.
