Does anyone have the Cyrix 5x86 100GP running on this board? I have tried the jumpers and RN settings for a Cyrix cpu as well as Amd and Intel dx4 and it keeps finding it as a enhanced dx4-s cpu or something like that. It hangs at boot so something is not right. Running a 5x86-133 AMD is no problem and boots fine and the bios is using the right name for it. I'm running the latest bios.

It is a great board but i can not find any documentation for jumper settings for the fastest cpu's except Intel DX4-100.

I have 2 of these boards and on one of them it says that a certain jumper (JP23?) is for amd/intel 3,3v but for Cyrix it is 5v and it should be set differently to get 3,3v ??
How is that possible? The other board does not have a header on JP23 so it does lack this text.

Thank you!

I also just ordered a 5x86100P Cyrix 😊 😊

It is a fast cpu. @120mhz it almost keeps up with an AMD @160mhz on my Aopen AP43 board. Just hope to run it at one of the Gigabyte boards to compare.

This is the latest revision which I found which supports the Cyrix 5x86 & AMD 5x86 CPU's (maybe just verify that this is the version you have):

I've also attached the Flash BIOS utility that Gigabyte released back then - read the instructions carefully.

Thank you very much but that is the version i already have. But how do i set the jumpers for the Cyrix? I can not find any documentation about that.

I've been looking through the archives myself but, neither the manual nor any documentation appears to have been released that indicates what jumper settings must be used for the Cyrix 5x86 CPU's.
I've started to look at other similar motherboards from that era (that Gigabyte also released) and that did have support for the Cyrix 5x86 CPU's.
A good example is the GA-5486AL (of which I've attached the manual).
By comparing the jumper settings on the above mentioned motherboard, this should then give you an idea what jumper settings to use on your motherboard (in other words, although the jumpers might not be the same, compare the jumper settings on the GA-5486AL to the jumper settings of other CPU's to more or less establish which jumper settings should work for your motherboard).
You will have to check the "obvious" jumper settings (like voltage settings) to ensure that they are correct.

Thanx! will try that later. On that board it seems to use the exact same setting as an Intel dx4-100.
