Does anyone know of an archive of ATI Catalyst drivers or Catalyst Omega drivers from around the Doom 3 Era? I've searched all over and I can't find a single working link to either catalyst 4.9 or the older Omega drivers.
I feel like the OpenGL performance of my Radeon 9600 XT is being held back by something and I want to experiment with some other drivers.

Uggg, I found the 4.9 drivers from a link in the thread you posted, and the download link may or may not be good, however my area ISPs can't seem to ever download from Chinese sites.
If anyone with better connectivity to Chinese servers can grab this for me and post it as an attachment in this thread, I'd be extremely greatful!

Here's the Omega drivers package based on Cat 4.9.

Vanilla Cat 4.9 (and the hotfix) are available from the same site.

Beyond that, you can access http://www.omegadrivers.net/ati.php via the Wayback machine to find the filenames Angel used and just search for them via Google.

Thanks but unfortunately it's not so simple with Guru3D atleast, all of their links to their old ATI drivers archives are broken, so while the links themselves may be there, they don't go anywhere and you can't download anything...... I'll look into the other, but Guru3D is pretty much a bust.

My bad. I didn't double check the links. However, I have good success searching on the base of driver filenames.

After a little Google Fu, I found that Gamefront has a good swath of Omega's driver releases in their archives.

Thanks, I'll give those a try.... a bit newer than what I'm looking for, but they still might give me a boost

Not a problem, not sure why I did not have to booked marked. I was looking all over for them.
I do recall finding a site not to long ago that had every Omega driver for both ATI and NVidia cards, but I can't find it ether.
