Yes I am interested.
I was looking into making an OPL4LPT board (MSX moonsound style), so sure interested in this board.
This could make it easier to get started, and double up as a ready to get waveblaster board, i could resell in my webshop.
I will PM you,

Why they do not put them in ebay or something....

I am aroused about any X86 motherboard that has full functional ISA slot. I think i have problem. Not really into that original (Turbo) XT,286,386 and CGA/EGA stuff. So just a DOS nut.
PS. If I upload RAR, it is a 16-bit DOS RAR Version 2.50.

I was interested in this idea when I saw the thread, but it only has a 1 MiB instrument bank integrated, and I'm not sure about effects processing. Those expecting synthesis quality similar to the Audiotrix Pro or Miro boards will likely be disappointed. If it were cheap enough, I might still consider it eventually.

I'm potentially interested in one, however, I don't see a price on the site. Especially since the board has OPL3 and OPL4 (great for sound cards that have crappy FM Synthesizers (Sound Blaster 16 from 1995 and higher) or busted OPL3 chipsets).

I have a Yamaha DB50XG paired with a Sound Blaster 16 CT2740 (non-PnP, jumpers across the PCB) and it sounds fantastic.

I emailed and haven't heard back yet - I might ask them to sell on ebay. Personally I don't want to buy the stock myself and distribute it - I'd like to try one, and I thought you folks should know about it. I'm going to try to help DreamBlaster get ahold of them. 😀

From YouTube, OPL4 sounds interesting.

Hopefully I’m wrong but I don’t think you can use the OPL4 chipset to override a sound cards crappy FM implementation via the wave table header, for games anyway, because they expect FM to be @220.

Life? Don't talk to me about life.

I believe that is correct, if the opl4 chip was directly on the sound card like some of the opl4 cards you see on ebay the opl3 part's address lines would be hooked up to the isa bus, but the wavetable header only supplies the midi data to the chip.

I would be interested in one, I do have a soft spot for yamaha stuff and it would help me test the wavetable header sound card project for Raspberry pi that i have been working on.

Forgot the FM is only set for 220h, while MIDI is set for 330h. Oh, well.

This is a MIDI wavetable board. Not sure how you mapped that to FM.

I called this place up. The main guy there used to build the CHIP CHAT MCA sound card for IBM PS/2! He says he might look into redoing it! I'll see about keeping a dialogue open. Would be awesome to finally get a sound card for my dusty IBM PS/2. I'm sick of the PC speaker sound.

Unfortunately, OPL4 wavetable card will be taken off the website and put back into "in-house stock" for now, and no longer listed as "SURPLUS" =(

So, why did they pull them?

Now for some blitting from the back buffer.
