Honestly, I don't know if that site hosts abandonware or not, so I'm not telling you to remove the link. If you know it doesn't, than leave it. It's in our DNS query screenshots anyway. 😉

BTW, I was a huge Infocom player back in the early-to-mid 1980s. I wish I'd kept all the game boxes, they were the most creative ever.

The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know.

If you are interested in ancient (and sometimes new) Interactive Fiction games this is the best place: The Interactive Fiction Archive

Abandonware site?

Last I checked, they did not host abandonware, only public domain files. Of which there are a ton.

I know, but I prefer to remove link and who have interest in IF archive can visit Wikipedia and from there goes to Archive 😜
Seriously, I have no problem. We are friends. 😊

I agree, sometimes with maps inside, a brief story, and the maps we made with pencil and paper!

I remember the first adventure that I played, Spiderman!!!

The freeware downloads are on the right side of the page in a sidebar called "Downloads". Not only is the first Vampires Dawn freeware, but so is its sequel. Plus, the games come in separate Dutch and English versions.

Recently I learned that Anthony Hamilton, author of the classic game PowBall, ported it to Windows and made the game free:

I played the DOS shareware version a while ago and liked it. A very nice tune is playing in the main menu.

When I was just digging over my Steam wishlist due to the Winter Sale; I have recently discovered a game that went free permanently over 2 weeks ago. A pixel god game called "The Sandbox Evolution".
