Damn, I couldn't possibly show my work area, compared to these pictures its a mess, but I have a 10ft x 10ft area in my shed, containing two 6'6^ Rack Cabinets, 5 current working machines 8086 8MHz running DOS 6.22, 486DX-4 SE 100MHz running Windows 95 OSR2.1, Athlon 64 X2 4400+ 2.2GHz running Windows 7 Pro, Athlon X4-845 Quad Core 3.5GHz running Windows 10 Home, Athlon FX 4300 Quad Core 3.8GHz running Windows 10 Home, Athlon FX 8320 Eight Core 3.5MHz running Windows 10 Pro. Outside the work area I have five laptops but unsure of all the specifications.

Lying on desks in the work area is a Biostar MB-1216VE with 286-16 with 286-6 and 1MB, then a Seritech Enterprise Company Ltd AD-5 with 386DX-40 with 387DX-40 and 32MB, a PC Chips Socket 7 Mobo (forget Model) with AMD K-6 2 400MHz and 256MB, another Mobo (forget) with Athlon K7 3200+ 2.2GHz? and 384MB, and a Gigibyte K7 Mobo (forget Model) with Athlon 3200+ and 4GB

There's also a P3 1.13 with 256MB on a Rocky Board with ISA Base Board in a Rackmount, but I've not heard from the guy that bought it on eBay.

But still too bloody messy to show pictures, ha

May have to set up my retro gear in the other 10ft x 10ft area...

Hello all!! New here. Here are some of my setups that I've messed around with this past year or so. My "Room setup" is currently under the knife. The big PC Power and Cooling tower and the Lian Li PC-V1000LB (modern tower) are both currently undergoing some massive changes. I'll leave these here for now though!! (: Happy to be a part of the group!

Heh. I found your post on that subreddit, sucks that it got so many downvotes. 🙁 I guess people thought you were posting it as some kind of joke. If it doesn't have RGB lights out the wazoo, I guess no one takes it seriously. 😒

I think it has something to do with the antique looking hardware and the low quality of the photo. Could easily be mistaken for trolling. 😉

Well, what was I going to expect? 😜 At least someone noticed (and I think appreciated) that fact I had a Model M.

Brilliant setup! Very stylish and clearly a labour of love - thanks for sharing.

There are nothing special but all is very usable.

I use the left side of the large table to build/repare/destroy hardware or to play with the ZX Spectrum (or PC with MAME) in the 14" CRT TV.
In the center of picture you can view the day by day 'workplace', or 'gameplace' depends of the moment, with two Philips 19" TFT monitors. The front monitor is shared with two PCs, a very tiny (in all aspects) HP and 'obsolete' Pentium 4 to play games and emulators.

The right table is to use the 486. If I hide the keyboard in a hole below monitor I can use a laptop.
A few years ago I had a bigger room with a 28" CRT TV dedicated to emulate consoles and arcade games. And another table to my first PC, a XT clone.

These times gone but I feel happy with this desk setup too.

Hi,

I'm pretty much interested in your vintage build. It's really awesome!

What's inside that beautiful case?

Which CRT monitor are you using?

I just realized that PC from pic nr. 1 is different from the one in pics nr. 2 and 3 😁

This is my actual vintage area, a sys based on a AMD 486DX4-120.

The LCD monitor is temporary because I use a LaCie Electron22blue but it is waiting for repair having problems in the power section. I also have a Philips 107P20 w/o anti-static coating which has deteriorated over time ...

Here is my retro area.....its not a big area of my garage, but I have it setup with a lot...

13 Retro PC Builds + 2 Tandy 1000s (SL and TL) setup on 3 different KVMs and all running. The cover is half off the Pentium 1 in the photo as I am working on putting a Canopus Pure 3D in it but need to finish the pass-through cable

There is a VMWare Server setup in the back that isnt visible. It houses the House AD Server (2012 R2) and the Retro PC AD / DNS / DHCP Server (2003 Ent)

Also have my 2 Main Driver Computers with the PC using one monitor and beside it my Mac Pro setup with Dual Monitors as that is the machine I tend to use the most...

There is a test bench setup for testing out Video / Sound Cards

My router and Switch are setup to keep everything in order as the Retro PCs sit on a VLAN that has no access to the internet but allows them to all communicate with each other for file sharing / other uses. The Main Driver PC and Mac are on a VLAN that has full internet access.

Also have shelving and various storage drawers around to keep everything as neat as possible...

Crowded, but I have leg room where needed and can move around the small area fairly easily...

Probably going to remove the tables that are in there now and install new ones for some more space underneath this summer....

The photos on the wall are from my 6 year's drawings of Pennywise the Clown!
