I have an AOpen AP58 motherboard with a Cyrix 6x86MX-PR233 CPU and I was going over the jumpers when I found JP8 and it has: Sync -1,2 and Async -2,3 what I would like to know is what is the better choice and what does the two do, Im using it for Dos gaming

It's for determining PCI bus speed. I reckon Sync means 1/2 of system bus speed and Async means 32MHz fixed.
