3dmark03 is suppose to work in win98, but when trying to start it says that si3.dll file expects newer version of windows.
I have seen so many people posting 3dmark03 results in win98 here in the forum, so I have no idea why it doesn't work.
Any ideas?
And I am one of those with 3DM03 score in Win98 😀
Basics :
1) You need 3.4.0 version (or older) of 3DMark 03, for it to work in Windows 98 (SE) environment.
2) Without installing DirectX 9.0 update for Win98, it can't work regardless of what you do.
I was thinking I might need older version, but where can I download older version from? All the sites that show up in google just have the newest version.
Latest version of 3DMark03 for Windows 98SE is 3.5.0, not 3.4.0 as agentx007 says, you can find it in the same site.
3.6.0 does work, but you need to run it with the "-nosysteminfo" parameter, but you lose the nice system overview in the main window.
Is there any difference between results of different versions?
No, results from 3.4.0, 3.5.0 and 3.6.0 are compatible.
